Lights Down

Spend my time in a full blown sea
The turbulence puts me to sleep
I know it’s hard for you to understand
Knowing what you know of a man
But
                It’s alright, come what may
We don’t love each other quite their way
But it’s ours, they can’t take it away…if…
We turn the lights down on what they say

Look me in the eye, between the sheets
To sin in thoughts is to sin in deeds
I can’t tell a year from a day
You won’t break if you meet me halfway
So
It’s alright, come what may
We don’t love each other quite their way
But it’s ours, they can’t take it away…if…
We turn the lights down on what they say

Darlin’ darlin’ darlin’ walk a while with me
We can talk about the kids and what will be
We’ll live to know what it takes to make it work
Been around enough to know we can’t grow until it hurts
So
It’s alright, come what may
We don’t love each other quite their way
But it’s ours, they can’t take it away…if…
We turn the lights down on what they say
